Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Nanchang University in Jiangxi, China explores the impact of the energy transition (ET) on public health (pH) from an international perspective. The study utilizes panel data from 107 countries over the period 2000-2020 and constructs an energy transition indicator based on the definition from the World Economic Forum. The results show that the energy transition can significantly improve public health, and this effect is strengthened by composite risk control, financial risk control, economic risk control, and political risk control. The study also finds that the impact of the energy transition on public health varies between high-income countries and low- and middle-income countries. The research provides insights for policymakers on promoting the energy transition and improving public health. [Extracted from the article]
