Abstract
- A new study conducted by researchers at the Affiliated Kunshan Hospital of Jiangsu University explores the potential relationship between the atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) and kidney stones in US adults. The study, which analyzed data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2007 to 2018, found that higher AIP index tertile intervals were associated with an increased risk of kidney stones. The researchers concluded that the AIP index may be a useful tool for understanding the role of dyslipidemia in the development of kidney stones in US adults. [Extracted from the article]
