Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at King Abdulaziz University examined the role of emotions in the academic performance of undergraduate medical students. The study found that depression and anxiety were the most frequently reported variables in the literature, and they had both negative and positive impacts on students' academic performance. Test anxiety was also found to be a common issue among medical students. The study suggests that emotional factors should be considered when understanding student performance, and future research should focus on developing strategies to reduce anxiety and improve mental well-being in order to enhance academic performance.
