Abstract

The Supreme Court of India has criticized the President of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) for issuing an apology in newspapers that was deemed illegible. This came during a hearing for the Patanjali misleading ads case. The court also stayed the Ministry of Ayush's notification that omitted Rule 170 of the Drugs and Cosmetic Rules 1945, which prohibits misleading advertisements of Ayurveda, Siddha, or Unani drugs. Rule 170 will remain in effect until further orders from the court. [Extracted from the article]
