Abstract

The article examines the Common House designed by Common Practice that is said to represent a holistic approach to regenerative design. It describes the design and construction of the Common House, a single-storey timber-framed building that serves as a gathering space in the Hazelmead co-housing development in Bridport, Dorset in England, which became a catalyst for social engagement and ecological conservation. It discusses the recycling of waste materials for the building project.
