Abstract
- The article reviews the "The Use of Lactobacillus in Forage Storage and Processing" Special Issue (SI) in Fermentation. Topics include the impact of different salt ion concentrations on microbial community dynamics in alfalfa silage, the role of Lactobacillus strains in improving silage quality through microbial succession, and the effects of lactic acid bacteria and formic acid on the fermentation quality and microbial communities in mixed silage of alfalfa and perennial ryegrass.
