Abstract
- A recent report from the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic discusses the role of primary cilia in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the head and neck region. The researchers highlight the importance of understanding the function of primary cilia in the development of SCC and its potential for new treatment approaches. Dysregulation of signaling pathways such as PDGF, EGF, Wnt, and Hh are discussed in relation to HNSCC tumorigenesis. The report also explores the clinical potential of small molecules that target primary cilia signaling in the treatment of SCC. [Extracted from the article]
