Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health in Fukuoka, Japan, aimed to investigate the relationship between peripheral neuropathy in hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) and cumulative exposure index. The study surveyed 68 participants without symptoms and found that vibration tool handlers may have peripheral nerve lesions at a certain stage without experiencing subjective symptoms in their fingers. The research was supported by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan and has been peer-reviewed. For more information, the study can be found in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. [Extracted from the article]
