Abstract

A patent application has been filed for a new dental arch toothbrush that aims to improve oral hygiene by providing a customized fit for each individual's teeth. The toothbrush is designed to address the problem of universal mouthpieces that do not adapt to different tooth geometries or sizes, resulting in suboptimal cleaning and difficulty reaching interdental spaces. The method involves detecting the dental arch shape of a patient and shaping it out from a disk in which the bristles of the toothbrush are embedded. The invention also includes a disk made of plastic material for producing the toothbrush, with various advantageous embodiments such as dissolvable support material and adjustable dimensions.
