Abstract
- A recent study conducted in Taiwan investigated the factors that contribute to moderate-to-high physical activity levels in hemodialysis patients. The researchers found that patients who engaged in moderate-to-high physical activity were less likely to be current smokers and had fewer perceived barriers to physical activity. Additionally, high self-efficacy of physical activity and employment status were associated with higher levels of physical activity. The study suggests that strategies to improve self-efficacy, support employment, and promote anti-smoking campaigns could help hemodialysis patients engage in higher levels of physical activity.
