Abstract

A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Alabama examined the Modified Balance Error Scoring System (mBESS) as a tool for evaluating sport-related concussions. The study aimed to explore sex differences in error and sway index scores among collegiate and high school athletes. The research found no sex differences in mBESS errors and sway index scores across competition levels and the overall sample. The study also observed moderate associations between error and sway index scoring for single and tandem stances.
