Abstract

A recent report from Narayana Nethralaya in Karnataka, India discusses a study conducted on myelinated retinal nerve fibers (MRNF) and their association with Straatsma syndrome. The study included 19 eyes from 18 patients diagnosed with MRNF, with the majority of cases exhibiting Straatsma syndrome. The research found that larger MRNF size was correlated with poorer visual acuity. The paper also explores possible pathogenic mechanisms for the ocular findings seen in MRNF. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in the European Journal of Ophthalmology. [Extracted from the article]
