Abstract

Recent research from the Department of Pharmacology in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, highlights the potential of cannabidiol (CBD) to treat anxiety and epilepsy. Unlike delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not have psychotomimetic effects. The study found that CBD has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used to treat certain types of inflammatory and neuropathic pain. The research concluded that CBD induces systemic analgesia through the activation of the PI3K gamma/NO/KATP signaling pathway in neuropathic mice. [Extracted from the article]
