Abstract
- The Karnataka BJP chief, B.Y. Vijayendra, criticized the Siddaramiah government for its handling of violence against women, accusing it of acting irresponsibly. He claimed that incidents of violence against women have increased since the Congress government came to power and that the behavior and responses of the Chief Minister and other ministers are crucial in addressing these issues. Vijayendra also criticized the government for its lack of development work and accused it of using schemes like the Gruha Lakshmi scheme and free bus travel for women as a facade to gain votes. The BJP leader urged the strengthening of the Mahila Morcha through a membership drive and expressed gratitude for their support during the recent padayatra against the Congress government. The State President of the BJP Mahila Morcha, K. Manjula, emphasized the importance of taking strict action against atrocities on women. [Extracted from the article]
