Abstract

This article discusses a novel toolbox that has been developed to study CLE peptide signaling in plants. The toolbox includes a fluorescently labeled CLV3 peptide that can be used to visualize the dynamics of CLE peptides in cells and their binding specificity. Additionally, a photoactivated version of the CLV3 peptide has been created, allowing for precise control of its activity using UV illumination. This toolbox provides new opportunities for studying the functions of CLE peptides in plants. The document discusses the use of caged molecules, specifically the nitroveratryloxycarbonyl (NVOC) group, for controlling the release of peptides in plant cells. The document also mentions the potential for genetically engineered photo-activated signaling systems and the use of fluorescence tagging to study the localization and dynamics of small signaling peptides. These tools have the potential to advance our understanding of plant development and improve agricultural practices. The document is a list of references for research articles on peptides regulating abiotic stress responses in plants. The references cover various topics related to plant biology, such as peptide signaling, hormone perception, and optogenetics. The articles use techniques like fluorescent labeling, photocontrol, and molecular optogenetics. The references provide a comprehensive overview of current research in the field and can be a valuable resource for library patrons conducting research on plant biology. The document is a list of references for scientific articles related to plant biology and signaling pathways. The articles cover topics such as the visualization of plant hormones, the role of peptides in [Extracted from the article]
