Abstract

This article discusses the effects of idebenone treatment in a patient with DNAJC30-associated Leigh Syndrome. Leigh Syndrome is a neurological disorder caused by disruptions in energy balance, often resulting in symptoms such as optic neuropathy and limb dystonia. Idebenone is a drug used to treat mitochondrial diseases, but its effectiveness in DNAJC30-associated Leigh Syndrome is uncertain. The article presents a case study of a patient who did not show improvement with idebenone treatment and suggests that further studies are needed to evaluate its effectiveness in this specific syndrome.
