Abstract

The article presents developments on acupuncture practice-based research in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). It introduces projects that illustrate the possibilities for a structured approach to collecting practice data, including a mixed-model for integrating qualitative and quantitative analyses from real-world date sets, the Acuaware study on electronic health record, surveys on common outcome measures in traditional Chinese medicine, and inpatient acupuncture quorum sensing.
