Data from University of Health Sciences Turkey Advance Knowledge in Thrombocytopenia (Impact of Eltrombopag Therapy in Different Lines of Treatment on Response in Patients with Immune Thrombocytopenia).

A study conducted by the University of Health Sciences Turkey aimed to evaluate the impact of eltrombopag therapy on patients diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) based on the line of treatment. The retrospective study included 51 patients who received eltrombopag at different centers. The results showed that the choice of eltrombopag in the second or third line of treatment did not significantly affect the treatment response. The study suggests that the earlier line choice of eltrombopag, duration, and possibility of sustained response should be considered in long-term follow-up. [Extracted from the article]
