Abstract

A new report from Fukuoka, Japan discusses the case of an 83-year-old man who had previously undergone coronary aorta bypass graft surgery and now required treatment for worsening angina. Coronary computed tomography angiography revealed total occlusion of the left main coronary artery, proximal obtuse marginal branch, and proximal right coronary artery, as well as other blockages. Coronary angiography confirmed these findings and showed limited blood flow to certain areas of the heart. The research concludes that the patient's symptoms were caused by significant myocardial ischemia. This research has been peer-reviewed and is available in the Journal of Invasive Cardiology.
