Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at New York University (NYU) examined the online discourse surrounding Bell's palsy, a condition characterized by facial paralysis. The study found that patients are increasingly turning to the internet for information on facial palsy, with the most common questions relating to its causes and treatments. The researchers analyzed Google search trends and identified 151 questions related to Bell's palsy and facial paralysis. The majority of these questions were sourced from academic websites, and questions about treatment and medical practice sites appeared more frequently in search engine results. This research provides valuable insights into the online information-seeking behaviors of patients with Bell's palsy. [Extracted from the article]
