Abstract

The article discusses the impact of synchronous and asynchronous online education on language learning in the post-pandemic era, highlighting the benefits of asynchronous learning for flexibility and independence. Topics include the challenges of conventional discussion boards in asynchronous learning, the introduction and features of the digital tool Flip to enhance student engagement, and the application of the Community of Inquiry framework to improve social, cognitive, and teaching.
