Abstract
- Foreign investors are becoming more cautious about investing in Indian shares due to increased volatility, lukewarm earnings, and a surprise tax hike on equities. Global funds have turned bearish on Indian stocks for the first time in two months, with net shorts of 30,547 index futures. Foreign portfolio investors have also been selling in the cash market, offloading almost $2 billion net of Indian equities this month. Despite a rally earlier this year, foreign investors are concerned about high stock valuations and global market volatility. [Extracted from the article]
