Abstract

A study conducted at the Funabashi Municipal Medical Center in Chiba, Japan, has found that coronary spastic angina (CSA) in premenopausal women may be associated with hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle. The study involved two cases of premenopausal women with CSA, one experiencing symptoms during urosepsis and the other during premenstrual syndrome (PMS). The researchers suggest that estrogen may play a role in premenopausal female angina pectoris, and recommend considering the menstrual cycle and history of PMS when diagnosing and treating CSA in premenopausal women. Low-dose pills may be effective in some cases, and collaboration with other medical departments, such as gynecology, is encouraged. [Extracted from the article]
