Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at Fujian Normal University in Fuzhou, People's Republic of China, explores the use of antimicrobial polymeric coatings synthesized through solvent-free initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD). The study highlights the potential of iCVD in creating high-quality antimicrobial coatings on various surfaces. The coatings can effectively address infectious diseases by preventing microbial adhesion. The research provides a comprehensive review of the different strategies and approaches used in creating antimicrobial coatings through iCVD, including release-killing, contact-killing, and antifouling coatings. The study also discusses the future directions of iCVD coatings in the antimicrobial field. [Extracted from the article]
