Abstract
- A new study from the Center for Reproductive Medicine explores the use of a workflow-based RFID tag system to improve efficiency and reduce errors in IVF laboratories. The study found that the RFID tag system corrected 100% of tag errors and shortened the time for data entry, without negatively impacting embryo quality or pregnancy outcomes. However, the cost of RFID tags was significantly higher compared to paper labels. Overall, the study suggests that integrating RFID tag witnessing with real-time information entry can enhance operational safety and improve work efficiency in reproductive medicine.
