Abstract
- A recent report from Cairo, Egypt discusses the production of polyclonal antibodies for human follicle-stimulating hormone (hFSH) in order to establish an immunoradiometric assay (IRMA). The study successfully developed an hFSH-IRMA system with precise and accurate measurements, as well as a sensitivity of 0.15 mIU/ml. The researchers concluded that this technique could be a useful diagnostic tool for studying fertility and diseases of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis in humans. The research was supported by the Science and Technology Development Fund and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. [Extracted from the article]
