Abstract
- Researchers at Xi'an Jiaotong University in Shaanxi, China have conducted a study on the anticancer effects of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) therapy on deep subcutaneous tumor cells. The study found that plasma-irradiated normal cells released soluble factors that selectively killed nonirradiated cancer cells. The release of these factors was mediated by short-lived species generated by the plasma. The researchers concluded that CAP-induced anticancer effects can be transmitted to cancer cells through normal cells. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights into the potential of CAP therapy for cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
