Gold from electronic waste.The Royal Mint, which makes the UK’s coins, has opened a factory in Llantrisant, Wales, to recycle gold from electronic waste. Circuit boards from electronic items like computers, TVs and mobile phones contain valuable metals, including gold. A special technique will be used to extract gold from old circuit boards.
