Abstract

Numerical modeling of changes in the capacitance and equivalent resistance of an electrolytic capacitor over its operating period was performed. The relationship between the output power and efficiency of the wireless power supply module of an implantable spinal cord stimulator, in which these capacitors are used as compensating condensers in an inductively coupled oscillatory circuit, was calculated. The relative decrease in capacitance of the capacitor was 10% and the relative increase in its equivalent resistance was 376%. The change in power output was 14% and efficiency decreased from 52 to 13%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
