Abstract
- This article discusses the process of metamorphosis in insects. It explains that some insects, like dragonflies, crickets, and praying mantises, resemble their parents when they hatch and go through three stages of development. Most insects, however, go through four stages, including egg, larva, pupa, and adult. The article also mentions that some insects, such as flies, beetles, butterflies, and moths, have different names for their larvae and pupae. It provides specific examples of the life cycles of dragonflies and ladybugs, highlighting the various stages of growth and transformation. [Extracted from the article]
