Abstract

This article discusses the publication of the Guamjip anthology in 19th century Seoul, Korea. The Guamjip was compiled by scholar Guam Yi Wonbae and published in 1823 after a lengthy process that involved finding a publisher and overcoming challenges such as a fire and difficult travel conditions. The publication was completed at the Gyoseogwan, a national publishing institution, and distributed to scholars and individuals involved in the project. Efforts were made to preserve the Guamjip, and the article also explores the publishing industry and collaboration during this time. [Extracted from the article]
