Abstract

A 53-year-old man with severe psoriasis presented with painful subcutaneous masses on both legs. He had a history of pulmonary embolism and bilateral incompetence of veins. The patient was on medication for psoriasis and had received multiple biologic agents. Radiographic and ultrasound examinations revealed subcutaneous calcification and ossification. The diagnosis was secondary cutaneous ossification in the context of chronic venous insufficiency. Treatment involved managing the underlying venous insufficiency and conservative measures, resulting in a significant reduction in pain. [Extracted from the article]
