Abstract
- A recent report from the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" in Naples, Italy, discusses the treatment options for locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC). The study compares the benefits of surgery after neoadjuvant treatments with standard treatment. The meta-analysis found that patients who underwent surgery after concurrent radio chemotherapy (CCRT) or neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) had significantly improved disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) compared to those who received standard treatment. These findings provide updated information on the efficacy of neoadjuvant treatments for LACC. [Extracted from the article]
