Abstract
- This document provides information about a clinical trial, NCT06528067, that aims to test the effectiveness of a program called Mindful Motivation in reducing binge eating behaviors. The trial will compare the program to an active control group and will involve participants from the community and graduate students from UCSF. The program includes counseling sessions, online mindful eating programs, and participation in a general mindfulness program. Measurements will be taken to assess changes in weight, waist circumference, and glucose levels. The study is expected to be completed by August 2026 and is being conducted by the University of California, San Francisco, in collaboration with Headspace Meditation Limited, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, and DexCom, Inc.
