Abstract

This document provides information about a clinical trial, NCT06526637, which aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Palliate intervention in supporting lay carers in administering medications to loved ones at the end of life at home. The intervention is nurse-led and has been successfully piloted in the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The trial will assess various outcome measures, including acceptability, safety, and efficiency. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive different versions of Palliate training and materials. The trial is led by Leila Shepherd, PhD, from Imperial College London and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2025. [Extracted from the article]
