Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Evidera Inc. aimed to develop a standardized patient-reported outcome (PRO) questionnaire to assess symptoms in patients diagnosed with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI). The study involved concept elicitation interviews and cognitive interviews with US patients diagnosed with EPI. The results indicated that the developed questionnaire, called the EPI Symptom Questionnaire (EPI-SQ), demonstrated content validity in measuring EPI symptom severity in US patient populations. This research provides valuable insights into the symptom experience of patients with EPI and offers a useful tool for assessing and managing the condition. [Extracted from the article]
