Abstract
- A study conducted at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University compared the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy with modified Kamikawa anastomosis and laparoscopic total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y anastomosis for the treatment of adenocarcinoma. The study found that laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy with modified Kamikawa anastomosis is a safe and feasible treatment option for esophagogastric junction and upper gastric adenocarcinoma, with good anti-reflux effects. Additionally, this procedure resulted in better postoperative nutritional status compared to traditional laparoscopic total gastrectomy. The study provides valuable insights for patients and healthcare professionals considering surgical options for adenocarcinoma. [Extracted from the article]
