Abstract
- A recent study conducted by the ICAR - Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Karnataka, India, focused on the development of a new diagnostic tool for classical swine fever (CSF) in pigs. The researchers developed an indirect ELISA test using the CSFV envelope glycoprotein E2 as a coating antigen. The test demonstrated high diagnostic sensitivity (95.4%) and specificity (95.5%), making it a potential tool for sero-surveillance and monitoring of CSF in the swine population. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights into the detection of CSFV antibodies in pigs. [Extracted from the article]
