Abstract
- A survey conducted by the University of Coimbra in Portugal aimed to identify the most commonly used psychological tests in the country. The survey involved 1,383 psychologists who responded to an online questionnaire. The results showed that intelligence assessment tests, such as the Wechsler Intelligence Scales, and nonverbal reasoning tests, like Raven's Matrices, were among the most widely used. There has been an increase in the use of neuropsychological tests, cognitive screening tests, and behavioral assessment scales, while projective tests have seen a decrease in usage. The study emphasizes the need for further research on the reliability, validity, and standardization of these tests to ensure their quality and rigorous use in psychological assessment practices.
