Abstract

A new study published by researchers from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine provides a comprehensive review of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), the most common subtype of kidney cancer. The study highlights the clinical, pathological, genetic, and molecular features of ccRCC, as well as its diagnosis, management, and prognosis. The research emphasizes that ccRCC primarily affects men in their sixth to seventh decade of life and is characterized by distinct microscopic features and genetic abnormalities. The prognosis of ccRCC is determined by factors such as tumor stage, nucleolar grade, and aggressive features. [Extracted from the article]
