Abstract

Researchers from Shandong University in China have developed a new nanocatalytic therapy for glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer. The therapy uses a biomimic and translational cerium vanadate nanozyme that exhibits pH-dependent dual enzymatic activity. In glioblastoma cells, the nanozyme causes cellular damage and accumulation of reactive oxygen species, while in neuronal cells, it repairs mitochondrial damage caused by radiation therapy. The study provides insight into the repair of brain damage after glioblastoma radiation therapy. [Extracted from the article]
