Abstract

Residents of Hay River in Canada are taking action to address the crime problem in their community, particularly drug trafficking and public drug use. Concerned citizens have organized a private Facebook group called "Neighbourhood Watch" to coordinate their efforts. Recently, approximately 100 people gathered to dismantle an encampment where drug use was suspected. However, the RCMP is cautioning against vigilantism and encourages residents to report suspicious behavior to the police instead. The community members are planning to take further action and hold a town meeting to address the crime problem. [Extracted from the article]
