Abstract

The core concern is the 'decolonial turn' which is said to be taking place in a number of universities and other institutions. In this context, attempts are being made to unmask the colonial ideologies and common sense rooted in various disciplines including social work. The article examines key terms such as 'Decolonisation', 'Eurocentrism', 'Coloniality' and 'Decoloniality'. In conclusion, some of the obstacles that may be encountered by those aiming to decolonise social work are discussed and possible ways forward are identified. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
