Abstract

The article reviews Pollmann et al.'s study on the impact of environmental and interpersonal factors during late childhood on brain development in adolescence. It also discusses the effects of socioeconomic status and perceived neighborhood safety on white matter integrity, the influence of family conflict on brain structure, and the need for longitudinal research to fully understand the impact of early adversity on neural development.
