Abstract

A study conducted in Beijing, China, aimed to differentiate between Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM) and smoldering Waldenström macroglobulinemia (sWM) using [Ga-68]Ga-pentixafor PET/CT. The study found that patients with WM had more extensive extramedullary disease shown in [Ga-68]Ga-pentixafor PET/CT compared to sWM patients. The research suggests that [Ga-68]Ga-pentixafor PET/CT may have better diagnostic performance than 2-[F-18]FDG PET/CT in identifying WM. [Extracted from the article]
