Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at Kyungpook National University in South Korea aimed to assess the association between long-term use of oral corticosteroids and adverse events (AEs) in adult patients with atopic dermatitis (AD). The study used data from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service database of South Korea and included 1,025,270 patients with AD. The results showed that there was no increased risk of AEs with the use of oral corticosteroids for more than 30 days, but a slightly higher risk was observed with use for more than 90 days. The researchers concluded that further research is needed to fully understand these findings. [Extracted from the article]
