Abstract
- A new report from the Department of Nutrition in Tehran, Iran explores the relationship between dietary factors and mental health disorders in teenage girls. The study found that there was a significant negative correlation between branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and mental health, with lower BCAA levels observed in patients with mental disorders. Additionally, the study found that weight and energy intake were positively correlated with stress levels. However, after adjusting the results, no significant relationship was found between mental health and the studied factors. The researchers suggest that further studies in different age and sex groups are needed to better understand the relationship between BCAAs and mental health. [Extracted from the article]
