Abstract

This article discusses a case of cytomegalovirus (CMV) colitis in a 47-year-old female patient who was undergoing chimeric antigen receptor-T cell (CAR-T) therapy for double-hit large B-cell lymphoma. The patient developed lower gastrointestinal bleeding and was found to have active arterial bleeding in the right colon. Colonoscopy revealed ulcers and a visible vessel with active bleeding, and pathology confirmed the presence of CMV. The patient was treated with ganciclovir and showed a good clinical response. The article emphasizes the importance of screening for CMV reactivation in CAR-T patients and promptly initiating antiviral therapy for a favorable outcome. [Extracted from the article]
