Abstract

This article explores the conservative intellectual movement known as the LSE Right, which played a significant role in shaping British conservatism during the 1980s. The LSE Right's conservatism is characterized by skepticism, conservative individualism, and a focus on sustaining the framework of human life rather than dictating it. While their influence waned in the 1990s, the article argues that the LSE Right's conservatism offers valuable insights for the future of conservative politics, including a nuanced perspective on modernity and a receptiveness to the concerns of the global Right. The article includes a list of references and sources related to conservatism and right-wing politics. [Extracted from the article]
