Abstract
- The article discusses the efforts of the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and the Meat Institute to address regulatory obstacles that slow down U.S. beef and pork exports to Canada. The implementation of the Public Health Information System (PHIS) was intended to simplify the export process, but some challenges remain. USMEF is working with industry partners to develop recommendations that could streamline regulatory processes and boost U.S. exports to Canada.
